MY STORY
Graham Daly Photography
Explore | Observe | Capture
These are the principles that have guided me on my photographic journey for over 13 years. I try to spend as much time as possible exploring my home country of Ireland. Spending time in the Irish landscape allows me to observe the constant changing beauty that is found throughout the emerald isle, whether it be the vibrant landscape or the nature that occupies it. Each time I am out with my camera, I am constantly learning new ways to better capture the beauty that Ireland has on offer.
My name is Graham Daly and I am based in County Cork, down the south of Ireland. I first started taking an interest in photography back in the summer of 2012 when I purchased my first DSLR. By January 2013 I was after catching the "photography bug" big time and I have been enthusiastically and passionately pushing myself forward on my photographic journey ever since.
While I admire and like all forms of photography, there is an extra special feeling I get when I am outside in the natural world photographing the beautiful creations that exist around us whether it be the impressive Landscape features of the Irish coastline or the amazing nature and wildlife ecosystem that exists all around us here in Ireland.
In April 2013 I was successful in obtaining an Associateship Distinction from from the SINWP (Society of International Nature & Wildlife Photographers) for a panel of 20 Digital Images that consisted of a collection of Seascapes that featured coastal scenes of both Ireland and elsewhere in Europe.
Over the past several years I have been fortunate enough to have had several of my images accepted into various International Photographic Salons (Exhibitions) that are under the patronage of FIAP (Fédération Internationale de l'Art Photographique) and even more fortunate to have received some photographic awards from them!
My philosophy when it comes to Photography is that it is not simply an "Art Form" like you may have heard from many a person, but rather it is a Craft that one has to learn and master before they can truly express their artistic and creative nature and personality. This is why I place a lot of weight and value towards continuous learning and the betterment of myself and my photographic skills and abilities so that I too can express my artistic vision.
Thank you for visiting my site and I hope you find enjoyment while looking at my images. If you like my work and feel that I can help you to progress along your own photography journey, then please do not hesitate to contact me in order to arrange a private 1-2-1 Workshop with me.
Brands I Endorse
I have been using Permajet papers for my fine art printing needs for years. They have a wide selection of outstanding paper finishes.
I use a local photography supplies store (Barker Photographic) here in County Cork for all of my Permajet paper purchases.
When it comes to camera backpacks, f-stop are the top choice for me. While there is no such thing as a perfect camera bag, f-stop packs are perfect for my needs.
They are extremely durable and very customizable thanks to their ICUs (Interchangeable Camera Units) which come in difference sizes and can be easily moved between my different f-stop bags.
The brand’s sustainability ethos also strongly resonates with me. Made with premium components and using sustainable manufacturing processes equals better “total cost of ownership” and also better for the environment!
